FAQ

How much notice is required before hiring a suit?
With wedding suit orders, we recommend you book as soon as possible. Whilst stock is not normally a problem, the advantage of booking early is that once a suit is booked with us, the prices are then held for the rest of your wedding party, whenever they come in to book. For evening wear, whilst we can often accommodate immediate orders, to guarantee availability, reservations should ideally be made at least a week in advance.
When are hire suits available for collection & due for return?
For Saturday/Sunday functions, suit collection is normally Wednesday after 2:00pm or anytime Thursday, and then return on Monday (by 11:00 am). Please enquire regarding other function days. This is just a general guide, but if you have different requirements, because your wedding is abroad or you are travelling/going on a cruise, etc., have a chat with the staff, and they will be happy to come to an arrangement with you.
When do I pay for the suit hire?
A deposit of half the suit hire per person as we fit them is required when you place your order, and then the balance is due for payment on collection. This secures the current hire charge price. If shoes are added to the order, we ask for payment of those upfront as we fit people, as we then replenish our stock.

Alternatively, we welcome payment plans. Take the total cost of your wedding party, if applicable, and pay by direct debit in weekly or monthly bite-size payments.
Do you charge for an accidental damage waiver on top of the suit hire?
We include an accidental damage waiver in the price of our suit hire; we do not charge it as an add-on. It covers you for most party accidents but not malicious damage. E.g. accidental food and drink spillages… covered 😊, throwing a top hat in the air… not covered 😕
Do all the members of my wedding party need to come for a fitting at the same time?
We normally recommend that the Groom, Bride, and possibly the Best Man come in first and take their time trying different suits and accessories. Shirts and shoes will also be available to try on, so you can see exactly how you will look on the big day. We can also discuss/show the outfit other members of the party will wear. They can come in at a later stage either on their own or with you. You are more than welcome to visit us at any time; however, from January to June, we are extra busy on Saturdays. So why not make an appointment or call in during the week? This will minimise any waiting.
What happens if any members of my wedding party has a change of size between their fitting & the wedding date?
Not a problem, and that’s the beauty of hiring a suit! It’s really helpful to book suit hires early, but nearer the function date, if you need a refit, just get in touch. We normally do page boy final fittings about a month before the function date, so any adult refits tie in nicely around that sort of timescale too.
One of my wedding party members lives away and is not arriving until the day before the wedding, how can they get fitted?
There are several solutions for this. We have a self-measurement form they can complete via this website to give us their sizes or certainly a guide to their sizes. We carry comprehensive stocks in all of our ranges, so if they were not quite the person we were expecting on arrival, we should be able to rectify things. There is also a network of independent traders who, for a small fee, can usually provide a fitting service in most areas (for example, we charge £25). One way or another, this is something we come across regularly and should not cause a problem.
